'Childlike' is also special to me because I remember exactly where I was when God gave me the song.
I was on a bus home from work, and there was this child who was crying pretty loudly. I thought nothing of it at first, then at one point, his crying revealed a really beautiful melody! I had it on repeat until I could get home, open up my laptop and sketch it. I called it 'Childlike', not even aware of the significance of that, then I wrote the first half and parked the idea for a while.
Then, on the way to Amsterdam on a work trip, I decided to open it again, and the Lord highlighted how innocent, beautiful and effortless the whole thing was. The second half came to me there and then, and I finished the sketch, whilst also having on my heart this concept of coming before Him just as a child. No ifs or buts, without any kind of doubt, becoming deeply fascinated with Him and the beauty of His face.
