There's an atmosphere of panic, dread and mutual apprehension.
Stores are emptying with no understanding of why.
In the midst of all this, Jesus stops me in my tracks
(literally - I was on a train!)
and reminds me that He is King.
Yes, He is King.
He is on the throne and that has not changed.
He is moving in signs and wonders like never before,
and though the threat of death looms,
life abounds all the more.
My heart filled with a holy violence,
the rest of the journey is spent penning this not-so-little ditty.
